JID promotes a day on Environmental Protection

On October 11, the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), with the support of the Ministry of Defense of Peru, will promote a Conference on Environmental Protection.
The objective of the event is to offer useful and updated information, from different perspectives, on the lessons learned and good practices of the Armed Forces and/or security in environmental protection, so that they can be evaluated by the member countries of the IADB. and, thus, assist them in the development of measures that favor their implementation throughout the Hemisphere.
Aimed at the general public, the event represents a valuable opportunity to collect information on the subject from Member States, allowing the development of a database that contributes to safer advice in the process of implementing actions aimed at protecting biodiversity. , strengthening the improvement of environmental legislation, the management of water resources, raising awareness about climate change and the promotion of sustainability at all levels, among others.
The conference will be held in person and virtual formats.
