A delegation with 20 students from the High Command Program (PAM), of the Higher School of Air Warfare (ESFAP), visited this Monday, October 15, the headquarters of the Inter-American Defense Board (JID), better known as "Casa del Soldado" \u00bb. The main objective was to present to the PAM students the structure and the main tasks carried out by said Organization.<\/p>\n

The visit is part of the planned agenda for the study trip of PAM students to the city of Washington-DC. Other places will also be visited such as Andrews Air Base, the Inter-American Defense College (CID), the Organization of American States (OAS), the Boeing Office of Government Operations, the United States Congress (Capitol) and the Pentagon.<\/p>\n
The delegation, made up of 20 Air Force Colonels, 2 Army Colonels and 2 Navy Captains of the Peruvian Navy, was received in the IADB Council of Delegates Room by its President, Brigadier General Luis Rodr\u00edguez Bucio and the Director General of the Secretariat, Brigadier General Stephen M. Lacroix. Initially, a conference was presented by Professor Mark D. Hamilton, from the Inter-American Defense College, in which topics on Multidimensional Security and its importance were addressed.<\/p>\n
Subsequently, the President of the Council of Delegates presented the historical evolution of the IADB, its structure and the main activities carried out in coordination with the Organization of American States.<\/p>\n

In his thank you speech, the Director of the ESFAP, Major General FAP Charles E. Lambruschini Acuy, highlighted that the visit to the Casa del Soldado can help the PAM students understand the role of the IADB in the security of the American continent. \u201cIt is no coincidence that the problems, threats and challenges are common to most of our countries; It is possible that the particularities of our territories and our populations show that we are facing different solutions, but the truth is that the study and analysis of intervening factors based on dissimilar approaches is the most advantageous means to find the best solutions. hence the importance of the IADB and its contributions to a better, more integrated and developed America, with high security rates in all areas.\u201d<\/p>\n

The High Command Program (PAM) is at a High Command level, is selective and has the purpose that the personnel of Colonels or FAP Commanders achieve competencies related to fulfilling the functions of Director\/Command of UU\/DD at the Air Wing level, Officer of the General Staff of the FAP, of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and senior positions in the National Defense System.<\/p>\n
As well as Arms Officers of the equivalent ranks of Commander or Colonel of other National or Foreign Armed Institutions, selected by the Director General of Education or invited by the Superiority.<\/p>\n
