Dunford, presided over the retirement ceremony of Admiral Kurt W. Tidd, commemorating 40 years of distinguished service.<br \/>\nAdditionally, in the afternoon, the Secretary of Defense of the United States of America, General (R) James N. Mattis, conducted the Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) change of command ceremony between Admiral Kurt W. Tidd and Admiral Craig S.
