From November 15 to 18, 2022, Brigadier General Porfirio Fuentes V\u00e9lez, General Director of the Secretariat of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), conducted an inspection trip to the IADB's humanitarian demining missions in Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this context, on November 18, he visited the Group of Inter-American Technical Advisors (GATI); During the visit, a presentation was given about the history and current tasks that are being carried out in support of humanitarian demining in Colombia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. General Fuentes had the opportunity to meet the members of the Group and the work facilities. In addition, he participated in an institutional presentation of the Colombian Engineer Command (COING), visited the facilities of the Brigades that work together with COING and the National Center Against Improvised Explosive Devices and Mines (CENAM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the framework of the scheduled activities, the closing ceremony of the last Course of National Humanitarian Demining Monitors (CMNDH) of 2022 was held. The ceremony was chaired by the Director General of the IADB Secretariat, who presented diplomas to who carried out the Course and the IADB medal to the Inter-American Advisors of GATI<\/p>\n\n\n\n
