On February 16, a hybrid meeting was held in which the Brigadier General of the Peruvian Army, Carlos Manuel Y\u00e1\u00f1ez Lazo, Chief; Mr. C\u00e9sar Negrete Venegas, Secretary General and (in person) Mrs. Melissa Navarro \u00c1ngeles, Senior Management Advisor, of the National Institute of Civil Defense (INDECI-PER\u00da), with the Director General of the IADB Secretariat, General of Porfirio Fuentes V\u00e9lez Brigade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

INDECI is technically responsible for coordinating, facilitating and supervising the formulation and implementation of the National Policy and the National Disaster Risk Management Plan in the preparation, response and rehabilitation processes. The purpose of the meeting was to share relevant information about the functions of the institutions, as well as to strengthen the cooperation mechanisms between both organizations for the benefit of the Inter-American System in terms of disaster response.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
