From June 4 to 6, the IADB participated in the \u201cSenior Leader Logistics Symposium 2024 (SLLS 2024)\u201d, promoted by the United States Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), in Doral (Florida, USA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SLLS 2024, whose inauguration was led by General Laura J. Richardson, Commander of SOUTHCOM, brought together representatives from countries, international organizations and industry, and had as one of its objectives the exchange of opinions on strategic and operational logistics, focused on the topic "preparation."<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brigadier Fl\u00e1vio, Director General of the IADB Secretariat, gave the opening conference on the last day of the event, and addressed the activities currently carried out by the organization, especially in the area of Disaster Cooperation. Colonel Gabriel, Advisor to the Disaster Cooperation Division, presented the CMDA Disaster Cooperation Mechanism (MECODE-CMDA), currently developed by the IADB. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Colonel Heim, Director of the Undersecretary of Advisory Services of the IADB, highlighted the importance of participation in SLLS 2024, which allowed greater visibility of the IADB's initiatives and the dissemination of the Disaster Cooperation Seminar \u2013 to be held in October 2024 \u2013 and the MECODEX 2025, Humanitarian Aid Exercise to be carried out in Guyana in 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
