Under the title \u201cInter-American Defense Board, a tool for hemispheric integration,\u201d the Di\u00e1logo magazine of the United States Southern Command published an interview with Brigadier Fl\u00e1vio Luiz de Oliveira Pinto, Director General of the Secretariat of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The report was prepared in the context of the IADB\u2019s participation in the \u201cSenior Leader Logistics Symposium 2024\u201d (SLLS 2024), an event promoted by the United States Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), in Doral (Florida, USA), between June 4 and 6. SLLS 2024 brought together representatives of countries, international organizations and the industry, and one of its objectives was to exchange views on strategic and operational logistics, focusing on the theme of \u201cpreparation\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the interview, Brigadier Fl\u00e1vio addressed important issues currently being developed within the scope of the Inter-American Defense Board, under the auspices of mandates established by the Organization of American States, such as Cyber Defense; Cooperation in Cases of Disaster; Women, Peace and Security; Environmental Protection; and Maritime Security, among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
