{"id":44850,"date":"2024-10-01T08:33:35","date_gmt":"2024-10-01T12:33:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jid.org\/?p=44850"},"modified":"2024-10-02T08:13:40","modified_gmt":"2024-10-02T12:13:40","slug":"monitores-interamericanos-evaluan-capacitacion-de-desminado-humanitario-en-colombia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jid.org\/en\/monitores-interamericanos-evaluan-capacitacion-de-desminado-humanitario-en-colombia\/","title":{"rendered":"Inter-American monitors evaluate humanitarian demining training in Colombia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From September 16 to 27, 2024, the Inter-American Group of Monitors for Humanitarian Demining in Colombia (GMI-CO), a mission of the Inter-American Defense Board in support of the Comprehensive Action Program against Antipersonnel Mines of the Organization of American States (AICMA-OAS), was deployed in Colombian territory, monitoring the training of the Demining and Amphibious Engineering Battalion (BDIAN) of the Colombian Navy and supporting the accreditation of civilians trained by the Colombian Campaign Against Mines (CCCM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"445\" src=\"https:\/\/jid.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Monitores-Interamericanos-FOTO-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-44852\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jid.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Monitores-Interamericanos-FOTO-2.jpg 800w, https:\/\/jid.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Monitores-Interamericanos-FOTO-2-300x167.jpg 300w, https:\/\/jid.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Monitores-Interamericanos-FOTO-2-768x427.jpg 768w, https:\/\/jid.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Monitores-Interamericanos-FOTO-2-18x10.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The monitoring of the BDIAN Humanitarian Demining Supervisors Course took place at the Peacekeeping Operations Training and Capacity Building Center in Cove\u00f1as (Department of Sucre). The operational evaluation of the CCCM took place in the town of Carepa (Antioquia).
