On February 19, 2025, the Chief of General Staff of the Peruvian Air Force, Lieutenant General FAP, Rub\u00e9n Gambarini O\u00f1ath, visited the facilities of the Casa del Soldado, headquarters of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), accompanied by Brigadier General Jos\u00e9 Luis Reategui Aching (Head of the Peruvian Delegation); Major General Cesar Macedo Garc\u00eda (Alternate Delegate of Peru); Major General Oscar Delgado (Air Attach\u00e9 of Peru).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was received by Major General Marco Antonio \u00c1lvarez Reyes, President of the Council of Delegates of the IADB, accompanied by Brigadier General Eduardo Villegas, Vice President of the IADB; Colonel Daniel Fitch, representative of the General Directorate of the IADB Secretariat; and Colonel Fabio Gomes Barbosa of the Undersecretariat of Administrative Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, he was informed about the organization and operation of the Inter-American Defense Board, its lines of action and its role in promoting cooperation and dialogue among the States of the American Continent in compliance with the mandates of the OAS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work carried out by the IADB to address current hemispheric challenges in the areas of Cybersecurity and Cyberdefense, Gender and Women's Perspective, Peace and Security, Cooperation in Cases of Disaster, among other specific topics, was highlighted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
