Advocacy to advise OAS civil organizations on the issue that significantly impacts the Hemisphere.<\/p>\n<p>The conference was attended by <strong>Ms. Jade Williams from Bahamas<\/strong>, natural disaster response manager, who shared his country&#039;s experience with the effects of Hurricane Dorian. Furthermore, the <strong>Dr. Leonardo Hern\u00e1ndez Galindo<\/strong>, Operational Commander of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in the Bahamas, spoke about the preparation to provide support to the population of the Bahamas, as well as the lessons learned in natural disaster mitigation activities.<\/p>\n<p>He <strong>Mr. Pablo Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> presented the role of the OAS in the issue and the experience of the White Helmets of Argentina. This presentation was transmitted in real time to Guatemala, where Chile, the United States Southern Command and the Guatemalan Ministry of Defense organized the 3rd Natural Disaster Workshop.<\/p>\n<p>Then he <strong>Colonel Ricardo Roque Salcedo<\/strong>, a specialist in natural disasters who led the Military Engineer Brigade of which the Battalion is a part, presented the presentation of the capabilities of the Colombian Disaster Assistance and Prevention Battalion.<\/p>\n<p>He <strong>Captain of Sea and War Walter Marinho de Carvalho Sobrinho<\/strong>, reported on Operation Green Brazil and the participation of the Ministry of Defense, presenting coordination measures, as well as the results achieved with the inter-institutional operation. During his presentation, the speaker also shared experiences of fighting the oil spill on the Brazilian coast, a major and unprecedented disaster in that country, which also has the participation of the Ministry of Defense and several agencies to mitigate its damage.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, the <strong>Division General Eduardo Pazuello<\/strong>, Commander of Operation Welcome, presented his work to welcome Venezuelan immigrants. The operation is attended by 115 agencies and has been successful in humanitarian aid work and civil-military coordination in the fulfillment of this mission.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align:
