The event will address the current challenges of illicit arms and ammunition trafficking, highlighting the importance of international cooperation, strengthening institutional capacities, and coordination between civilian and military authorities. It will also analyze mechanisms to optimize the joint response to these threats, which directly impact the security and stability of the hemisphere.
The Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) invites you to the Seminar “States’ Capacity for Cooperation Against Illicit Trafficking of Arms and Ammunition in the Hemisphere,” a space aimed at fostering hemispheric cooperation in the face of this problem, through the exchange of experiences, good practices and strategic approaches in regional security.
Aimed at: Military and civilian personnel from the different organizations of the IADB Member States, including high-level decision-makers, Military Schools or professional and technical training schools of the Armed Forces, operational units of the Armed Forces of the countries of the hemisphere, Think Tanks, institutions and organizations involved in hemispheric defense and security, and public and private organizations and institutions related to cyber defense.
