Lieutenant General Flávio Luiz de Oliveira Pinto is a native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He has more than 40 years of dedication to the Brazilian Air Force (FAB), and is a specialist in Logistics and Project Management, Institutional Relations, as well as in the Academic area, having served as an instructor in three military schools in Brazil and one in the foreign. He has a Master's Degree in Security, Defense and Integration, completed at the Institute of Advanced Studies for National Defense (IAEDEN) of Venezuela.
He served as an instructor at the Officer Training School and at the Air Force Command and General Staff School, being responsible for teaching subjects such as Command and Leadership; International Law of Armed Conflicts; and Employment of the Armed Forces in Joint and Combined Operations.
He worked in the area of logistics management of aeronautical systems and managed several important projects for his country, such as light transport and Strategic Resupply aircraft and the Modernization of the Sensors Onboard the E-99 Aircraft. He was also Commander of the Galeão Air Base, responsible for logistical and operational support of events of national and international importance.
As General Officer, he directed the Parliamentary Advisory Office of the Commander of the Air Force, managing actions related to the institutional relations of the Air Force Command with the Executive, Legislative and Judicial Branches, and with the organizations that exercise the essential functions of Justice. , in order to establish "institutional bridges", strengthen relationships and build understanding together with these entities.
He was Chief of Staff of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces, acting as interlocutor between the three Military Forces of the country with the Ministry of Defense and with various public and private organizations.
