Delegations

The IADB is made up of delegations from each of the 28 member countries. Each delegation is made up of military officers and civil officials designated by their respective government.

The delegations work permanently to strengthen links between the defense institutions of the region. Since their participation in the IADB, the countries share experiences, coordinate technical cooperation actions and discuss elements for strengthening hemispheric security from a multidimensional and comprehensive approach.

Delegations also play an important role in decision-making, being the means through which each member country influences the definition of policies, programs and priorities of the Inter-American Defense Board. In this way, they contribute, from their local expertise, to this organization continuing to provide added value to the collective security of the American nations.
