ARMS CONTROL SEMINAR: CAPACITY OF STATES FOR COOPERATION AGAINST ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IN ARMS AND AMMUNITION IN THE HEMISPHERE

The event will address the current challenges of illicit arms and ammunition trafficking, highlighting the importance of international cooperation, strengthening institutional capacities, and coordination between civilian and military authorities. It will also analyze mechanisms to optimize the joint response to these threats, which directly impact the security and stability of the hemisphere.

The Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) invites you to the Seminar “States’ Capacity for Cooperation Against Illicit Trafficking of Arms and Ammunition in the Hemisphere,” a space aimed at fostering hemispheric cooperation in the face of this problem, through the exchange of experiences, good practices and strategic approaches in regional security.
