In a space for dialogue and technical coordination, the leadership of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), headed by Major General Reinaldo Salgado Beato, Director General of the IADB Secretariat, and Major General César Macedo García, President of the IADB Council of Delegates, held a meeting with His Excellency Ambassador Carlos Bernardo Cherniak, Permanent Representative of Argentina to the OAS and President of the Committee on Hemispheric Security (CSH).
During the meeting, MECODE was presented, with the aim of making this tool available to OAS member states. This project was presented during the recent Conference held in Cusco, Peru.
Furthermore, discussions were held regarding the IADB's participation in the upcoming CSH activities calendar, considered a strategic forum for presenting the projects, products, and initiatives developed by the Board in fulfillment of its mission to provide technical, advisory, and educational assistance on security and defense matters to the OAS, in accordance with the lines of action promoted by this hemispheric organization. The IADB's training program for member states was also discussed.
Also present at the meeting were Brigadier General Alejandro Liberatori, Delegate of Argentina to the IADB; and Ms. Sofía Paglia, Alternate Representative and Secretary of the Embassy of Argentina.
