The Guide to Good Practices in Hemispheric Maritime Security is a technical tool developed by the Inter-American Defense Board, the Inter-American Defense College and member countries, with the purpose of strengthening the maritime capabilities of the States of the hemisphere.
This document compiles successful experiences, lessons learned and practical recommendations in key areas such as maritime governance, combating illicit activities, protecting critical infrastructure, environmental sustainability and international cooperation.
Its purpose is to foster interoperability, promote the exchange of knowledge and facilitate the adoption of common standards that contribute to the development of more integrated, resilient and effective maritime security in the Americas.
