On November 7 of this year, the Casa del Soldado received a visit from the National Defense College of the Republic of Honduras, as part of its cycle of academic studies, with the distinguished delegation made up of Colonel José Ramón Munguía Días, Rector of the High Training Center, Colonel Nancy Portillo, Deputy Military Defense Attaché of the Embassy of Honduras in the United States and by 33 students of the Specialty in Central American Defense and Security.
The President of the Council of Delegates of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), General Luis Rodríguez Bucio and the Director General of the IADB Secretariat, General Stephen Lacroix, gave presentations on the origin, function and current perspective of this Organization, as well as as well as responded to the concerns generated in reference to the Inter-American Defense and Security System.
With this activity, the IADB strengthens the ties of cooperation and collaboration with strategic educational centers of sister nations of the Americas, through the exchange of ideas and creating discussion forums on topics related to the defense and security sectors, in turn promoting hemispheric security.
