On February 15, 2019, the Director General of the Secretariat of the Inter-American Defense Board (DG), General Stephen Lacroix, attended a formal meeting of the President of the Republic of Colombia, His Excellency, Iván Duque Márquez. During the visit and prior to the President's speech, a meeting was scheduled with the Minister of Defense of Colombia, Mr. Lorenzo Guillermo Botero Nieto, in which the topic of the Cyber Defense Conference that will be held in the city of Bogotá on May 14 and 15, 2019. In turn, their support and participation in the event could be confirmed.
At the conclusion of the President's speech, the DG had the honor of exchanging a few words with him, in which his desire to support and participate in the opening of the Cyber Defense Conference was also confirmed. In turn, the Colombian Military Forces were thanked for their support and commitment for the leadership demonstrated in the training of military personnel in Humanitarian Demining, as well as its execution and good results.
