On September 27, Brigadier General Porfirio Fuente Vélez, General Director of the IADB Secretariat, received at the “Casa del Soldado” Mr. Luis Fernando Lima Oliveira, Secretary of Multidimensional Security of the Organization of American States, with a commission of this organization, to strengthen cooperation and integration in the work carried out by the IADB and the OAS, contributing to evaluation, prevention, confrontation and response to security threats.
Thus, the IADB reaffirms its purpose to “Provide the OAS and its Member States with technical, consultative and educational advisory services on issues related to military and defense matters in the Hemisphere to contribute to compliance with the OAS Charter. ”.
