Within the framework of the celebrations of the 77th anniversary of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), on March 26, 2019, the signing of a Technical Cooperation Agreement between this Board and the Higher Institute for Defense (INSUDE) took place. ) from the Dominican Republic. This agreement was signed by General Luis Rodríguez Bucio, President of the Council of Delegates of the IADB, representing General Lacroix, Director General of the IADB Secretariat; and, General Valerio Antonio García Reyes, Rector of INSUDE.
At the protocol event, the Leadership of the IADB and Officials of the Armed Forces of the Dominican Republic were present, who exchanged their points of view on issues related to the Security and Defense of the Hemisphere; agreeing that this type of agreement allows for joining efforts in the preparation of studies, scientific research and other activities on topics of interest to both parties, such as Multidimensional Security, Human Rights, Inclusion of Women, Natural Disasters, among others.
With the signing of this agreement, the IADB continues to expand its cooperation with Educational Institutions in the Hemisphere, in addition to supporting INSUDE in the creation of the Center for Strategic Analysis of Security and Defense (CAESyD) and an observatory attached to said center, through technical advice from the headquarters of the Board, expanding and strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between both institutions.
