Aeronautical Brigade General Néstor Daniel Zalazar Echauri, born in Asunción, Paraguay; He entered the Armed Forces in January 1988, being named Air Force Cadet in 1989 and successfully completing his studies, graduating with a Bachelor of Military Sciences at the “Mcal Francisco Solano López” Military Academy in 1991. He completed the Pilot course Military Aviator in the Air Training Group, to later move to the Aerotactic Group, where he continued his training with the Reconnaissance and Attack Pilot course, Fighter Pilot Course, Fighter Squadron Leader Pilot Course and finally Pilot Course Hunting Instructor, remaining in the same unit for several years as an instructor. His academic studies include the Air Tactics Course where he ranked first in his class; Higher Didactics Course; Training Course for Captains (WHINSEC-USA); Command and General Staff Course where he graduated Distinguished and obtained a Master's Degree in Military Science; Master in Aerospace Policy and Strategy; Master in National Strategic Planning and Management; Course of Higher Strategic Studies (CESEDEN-Madrid-Spain) and International Diploma in Communication and National Defense (University of National Defense-Buenos Aires-Argentina). Other specializations carried out correspond to the Strategic Intelligence Course; Intelligence Analyst Course; United Nations Military Observer Course; United Nations Instructor of Instructors Course. (CAECOPAZ-Argentina); Technician Course in English; Long English Language Training Course (Borden Base-Canada) and Diploma in Public Management for Human Development. (Universidad del Pacifico) In his military career he has served as: Instructor and operational pilot in the Aerotactic Group; Instructor in all academic units of the Paraguayan Air Force, Staff and Operations Officer; Commander of the Air Force Language Studies Center; Commander of the Air Force Group and Chief of Staff of the Cadet Corps of the “Mcal Francisco Solano López” Military Academy; Director of the Directorate of Social Communication and Spokesman of the Military Forces; Advisor and Liaison of the Air Force before the National Congress; Defense and Aeronautical Attaché at the Embassy of the Republic of Paraguay in the Argentine Republic and Chief of Staff of the I Air Brigade. General Zalazar also has experience working in multinational environments as he has served as Movement Control Officer of the General Staff of the United Nations Mission in Côte d'Ivoire. (ONUCI- 2005); Military Observer at the United Nations Mission in Ivory Coast. (ONUCI2010) and member officer of the Military Operations Center of the General Staff of the United Nations Mission in Haiti. (MINUSTAH-2015). During his more than 30-year career in the Paraguayan Air Force, he was awarded several decorations and recognitions; domestic and foreign; civilians and military in gratitude for their work. Promoted to Aeronautical Brigadier General on December 31, 2021.
