General Luis Rodríguez Bucio is appointed by the President of Mexico as Commander of the National Guard

On April 11, the President of Mexico Andrés Manuel López Obrador and his Secretary of Security, Alfonso Durazo, presented the Diplomated Brigadier General of the General Staff, Luis Rodríguez Bucio, as command of the National Guard, a new instrument of the Federal Executive in charge of the prevention of crime, the preservation of public safety, and the fight against crime throughout the Mexican Republic.

In light of such an event, the Inter-American Defense Board congratulates itself for such an important appointment and wishes the President of the Council of Delegates of the IADB the greatest success in the face of such a momentous appointment, which is undoubtedly a watershed in the field of security in the Western Hemisphere.

Congratulations General Bucio!
