Where the future of Mine Action is defined
On April 24 in Geneva, Switzerland, the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) participates in the XXIX International Meeting of National Directors of Mine Action and United Nations Advisors, the main global forum for mine action.
In this space, trends are analyzed, international efforts are coordinated, and challenges impacting security and development in affected countries are addressed.
The participation of the IADB allows:
*Strengthen the use of their missions in the field.
*Maintain dialogue with authorities and specialized organizations.
*Provide technical advice to the Organization of American States.
*Promote coordinated action with international actors.
*Strengthen its role in Humanitarian Demining.
Humanitarian demining contributes directly to the protection of communities and the recovery of territories.
