On April 22, at the Casa del Soldado, the IADB and the Hemispheric Security Commission (CSH) of the OAS held a working meeting, in which the proposal for a joint mechanism for the preparation of the mandates of the OAS was reviewed. OAS, as well as the analysis and negotiation of the drafting of the OAS-IADB Mandates for the year 2025, having agreed upon and agreed on the content of said mandates.

The meeting was promoted by the Presidency of the Hemispheric Security Commission and the Leadership of the IADB, with the purpose of increasing integration and cooperation between both organizations.

Present for the CSH/OAS were Mr. Mauricio Benard, First Vice President of the Commission on Hemispheric Security, and a representation of the Delegates of the CSH (Barbados, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Grenada, Guatemala, Guyana, Mexico, Panama and Peru).

On behalf of the IADB, the President of the Council of Delegates, General Marco Antonio Álvarez (Mexico), attended the meeting; the Director General of the Secretariat, Brigadier Flavio Luiz de Oliveira Pinto (Brazil); the Vice President of the Council of Delegates, General Carlos Bazán Barrios (Paraguay); and the representative of the Inter-American Defense College (CID), Colonel Fernando Marroquín; as well as a representation of the IADB Delegates (Argentina, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Honduras, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay).
