In the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, August 25-28 of 2025, the 10th Inter-American Naval Conference specializing in Science, Technology and Innovation, in which Captain John Vera Mora of the Ecuadorian Navy participated as a representative of the IADB, as an observer.

This conference addressed issues related to the "Trends and applications of data science in C5ISR systems", which was the main topic. It served to showcase the advances made by the Navies of the American Continent, and cooperative ties were established for the exchange of knowledge and capabilities, fostering and strengthening hemispheric solidarity in challenges such as information science, cybersecurity, and interoperability applied to the naval field.
Additionally, our representative contacted the Mexican and Uruguayan Navies to continue the testing and validation phase of the SAFE SEAS application, which is being developed within the Inter-American Defense Board's Security Program.
