The Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) received a visit from the 22nd class of the Master's Program in National Security and Defense at the School of Higher Strategic Studies (EGAEE) of the Dominican Republic.
The delegation was received by the IADB leadership, made up of Major General César Macedo García, President of the Council of Delegates; Division General Reinaldo Salgado Beato, Director General of the IADB Secretariat; Brigadier General Eduardo Villegas Velázquez, Vice President of the Council of Delegates; and the representative of the Inter-American Defense College (CID), who welcomed the visiting delegation.
During the visit, the participants of the 22nd promotion of the Master's Degree in National Security and Defense received a presentation on the mission, structure and main lines of work of the IADB, as well as its role in strengthening hemispheric cooperation in security and defense matters.
The activity allowed for an enriching exchange of experiences and knowledge between the trainee officers and the IADB authorities, reaffirming the common commitment to promote peace, security and collaboration among the nations of the American continent.
The IADB reaffirms its willingness to continue strengthening cooperation ties with academic and strategic training institutions in the region, in support of hemispheric security and development.
