Leadership of the Inter-American Defense Board conducts institutional visit to the Mission of Argentina to the OAS

On February 3, with the aim of strengthening hemispheric cooperation, the leadership of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) made an institutional visit to Ambassador Carlos Cherniak, Permanent Representative of the Argentine Republic to the Organization of American States (OAS).

The meeting strengthened ties of friendship and cooperation, and provided an opportunity to present the strategic projects that the IADB is developing for the benefit of its Member States. During the meeting, current initiatives were presented, including technical products available to countries in the region and the high-quality academic programs offered by the Inter-American Defense College (IADC).

For his part, Ambassador Cherniak expressed his gratitude for the visit, highlighting the importance of their work in strengthening hemispheric security and defense, as well as the value of working together to address common challenges.

The IADB delegation was headed by Major General César Macedo, Chairman of the Council of Delegates; Major General Reinaldo Salgado, Secretary General; and Rear Admiral Paulo Osorio, Acting Director of the CID.

Also participating were Colonels Mario Rivas and Petronio Segarra, IADB Liaison Officers to the OAS. Representing Argentina were Counselor Guido Crilchuk and Brigadier General Alejandro Liberatori, Defense and Military Attaché to the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Washington.

With this meeting, the Inter-American Defense Board reaffirms its mission to promote technical, consultative and educational cooperation, consolidating its support for the Argentine Republic and the nations of the hemisphere in strengthening regional security and defense.
