On February 17, at the facilities of the Inter-American Defense Board, the solemn ceremony of awarding the Inter-American Defense Board Medal was held, in its categories of One Gold Star and One Silver Star, granted to military personnel in recognition of their valuable services rendered and their outstanding commitment to the institutional mission.
The ceremony was presided over by Major General Reinaldo Salgado Beato, Director of the General Secretariat of the IADB, and by Brigadier General Eduardo Villegas Velázquez, Vice President of the Council of Delegates, who highlighted the dedication, professionalism and spirit of service of those decorated.
The distinguished personnel were accompanied by their families and by the staff that make up the Inter-American Defense Board, in an act full of solemnity, pride and deep institutional recognition.
The IADB thus reaffirms its commitment to exalt excellence, merit and the vocation of service in favor of security and hemispheric cooperation.
