On March 24, the commemoration of the 84th Anniversary of the creation of the Inter-American Defense Board took place, in the same space where the first ordinary meeting of the Council of Delegates was held on March 30, 1942.
It was an opportunity to renew the collective will to work together, with a strategic vision, shared responsibility and a firm commitment to promoting trust, peace and hemispheric cooperation.
This commitment continues to guide our actions and strengthens the unity of our States in favor of a safer, more stable, and more prosperous hemisphere.
The Intergovernmental Panel on Dialogue (IAD) is consolidating its position as a key forum for technical dialogue, trust-building, and consensus-building among member states. Its value lies precisely in its capacity to translate the political will to cooperate into concrete actions that strengthen the security and stability of the hemisphere.
