The event was attended by Brazilian defense officials and the leadership of the Inter-American Defense Board, who highlighted the strategic importance of these types of exercises for the benefit of the continent, based on three fundamental pillars:

Practical results
In this edition, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil and the technical entities responsible for disaster management were integrated in a coordinated manner, recognizing that current challenges demand responses multidimensional, interinstitutional and transnational.

In that context, the United Nations Oslo Guidelines (2007) They directed the use of military capabilities toward humanitarian assistance, such as last resort, under civilian leadership and with absolute respect for the sovereignty and dignity of the affected populations.
The exercise maintained the focus on three critical challenges: logistical integration, mobility and command and control, showing sustained progress in each of them.

Likewise, the system SICODEDeveloped with technical rigor by the Military Engineering Institute of the Brazilian Army, it proved to be a strategic tool for the real-time management of needs and offers of aid, strengthening coordinated decision-making.

But beyond technology, MECODEX 2026 reaffirmed its essence: to strengthen human bonds, mutual trust, and the collective will to act together in the face of adversity.
Because the resilience of the hemisphere is not built in isolation, but on the basis of cooperation, integration, and shared commitment.
