The IADB leadership held a working meeting with His Excellency Ambassador Jean Josué Pierre, Permanent Representative of Haiti to the OAS, and his delegation, addressing initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation, technical advice and training in defense and security matters, in accordance with the mandates of the OAS and the needs of the member state.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that strengthening the defense, security and stability capabilities of each member state contributes to collective well-being, inter-American cooperation and hemispheric security.
Furthermore, the commitment to continue promoting dialogue, cooperation and technical support for the benefit of regional peace, stability and security was reaffirmed.
The Inter-American Defense Board reaffirms its commitment to continue providing advice, training, and specialized technical support to Haiti.
