Of the July 15 to August 28In Brasilia, the Special Course on Nuclear, Biological, Chemical and Radiological (NBC) Defense at the facilities of Third CBRN Defense Battalion of the Brazilian Navy.

The training brought together 22 participants, including personnel from the Brazilian Navy, friendly forces and military personnel from Paraguay, Honduras and Colombiastrengthening professional exchange and international cooperation.

For seven weeks and 210 hours of instructionThe participants deepened their knowledge and developed skills in:
• CBRN Defense Fundamentals.
• Nuclear and Radiological Defense.
• Chemical and Biological Defense.
• Threat detection and identification.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Specialized recognition.
• CBRN planning and forecasting.
• Operational decontamination procedures.

The program combined theoretical training, practical training, use of specialized equipment, professional visits, and lectures given by authorities and specialists.
The successful completion of the course allowed Strengthen operational and doctrinal capabilities for the prevention, detection, mitigation and response to CBRN threatsalso contributing to increasing the interoperability, integration and cooperation between the Armed Forces of the participating countries.

Specialized training and international cooperation are fundamental tools for addressing current defense and security challenges in a coordinated manner.
