The Inter-American Defense Board (IDB) participated as an observer organization in the Caribbean Security Conference (CANSEC), and was represented by the President of the Council of Delegates, General Division Luciano José Penna, and the Director General of the General Secretariat of the IADB, Brigadier General Juan José Goméz Ruiz.
CANSEC was organized by the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) and took place in Miami from November 13 to 15, and this year covered topics such as Natural Disaster Management and Countering Transnational Threats.
Officials from 21 countries attended the event.
