During an official trip to Ecuador, the Director General of the Secretariat of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), Brigadier General Juan José Gómez Ruiz, visited the facilities of the Humanitarian Demining Battalion of Engineers 68 "COTOPAXI", of the Military Applications Research Center and met with Major General Oswaldo Jarrin Román, Minister of Defense of Ecuador.
The visit was part of the schedule for the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between the IADB and the University of the Armed Forces of Ecuador.
