The Commander of the Brazilian Army, Army General Edson Leal Pujol, was received at the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), on March 12, by members of the IADB Leadership: President of the Council of Delegates, Major General Luciano José Penna, Director General of the IADB Secretariat, Brigadier General Juan José Gómez Ruiz and Director of the Inter-American Defense College, Brigadier General James E. Taylor.
During the visit, the President of the Council of Delegates made a presentation on the structure of the Board and, at the end, General Pujol highlighted the importance of maintaining multilateralism in our continent, in view of the challenges related to security and defense. .
Also present at the activity were the Counselor of the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the Organization of American States (OAS), the Mr. Elói Ritter Filho, the Head of Representation of Brazil in the IADB, the Rear Admiral Nelson Nunes da Rosa, the Army Attaché to the United States of America and Canada, Brigadier General Josias Pedrotti da Rosa, Vice President of the Council of Delegates, Brigadier General Carlos Humberto Castañeda Nassi and Deputy Director of the Inter-American Defense College, Rear Admiral Sílvio Luis dos Santos.
