He Brigadier General Carlos Humberto Castañeda Nassi of the Peruvian Army in his capacity as Vice President of the Council of Delegates of the Inter-American Defense Board, accompanied by the Ship Captain (Marine) Luis Manuel de Campos Mello, of the Brazilian Navy, the Colonels Francisco Pérez González of the Dominican Republic Air Force, Raúl Devoto Uribe of the Peruvian Army of the Disaster Risk Management Section and the Liaison Officer with the Organization of American States (OAS), Colonel of the Brazilian Air Force Gerson Alves de Souza Louzeiro On March 12, he gave two presentations on: “The challenges posed by Climate Change for the Armed Forces” and “Considerations of Confidence and Security Building Measures (CFSM)”, at the request of the President of the Hemispheric Security Commission, Mr. Ambassador José Manuel Boza Orosco, Representative of the Republic of Peru before the OAS.
The presentation was held in the Guerrero Hall of the OAS in Washington DC, before the Distinguished representatives of the Secretariat of the Organization, members of the Commission and representatives of the member countries.
