BUCHANAN, Commander of the US Army Northern, Ambassador JUAN ANIBAL BARRIA, President of the Permanent Council of the OAS, Ambassador JOSE LUIZ MACHADO E COSTA, President of the OAS Hemispheric Security Commission, Permanent Representatives and Officials of the OAS General Secretariat, Delegations and Permanent Observers to the IADB and special guests, the Ceremony took place at the Casa del Soldado in commemoration of the 76th Anniversary of the Inter-American Defense Board.
The framework of this emotional and significant ceremony allowed us to recognize what has been achieved to date, and to visualize the IADB in the near future, consolidating itself as an international organization of technical, consultative, educational and coordination excellence in military, defense and related issues. . 
Likewise, the IADB reaffirms its commitment to achieve recognition as a modern, efficient and proactive entity, helping the OAS move steadily towards achieving its essential purposes, particularly those aligned with the pillar of security. .
With this celebration, the IADB confirms that throughout its 76 years of life, and with the determined participation of those who have made up this organization, it has been a leading actor and observer in the history of the American Continent.
