The Group of Inter-American Technical Advisors in Colombia (GATI-CO) has completed one more Course for National Humanitarian Demining Monitors (CMNDH) for the Colombian Military Forces, an activity carried out on the last day, November 27. In this 3rd course of 2019, 10 soldiers from the Colombian National Army were trained. The following guests were present at the ceremony: the Head of the National Center Against Improvised Explosive Devices and Mines (CENAM), Mr. Colonel JOSÉ ANTONIO PÉREZ GOMEZ; the Deputy Director of the School of Military Engineers of the National Army of Colombia, Lieutenant-Colonel MARGUIN AGUILLON BRAVO; and family members of trained military personnel.
Since 2015, when it began its activities in Colombia, to date GATI-CO has trained 168 people from the Military Forces and the National Humanitarian Demining Authority, with 12 courses held.
