The Group of Inter-American Monitors (GMI) of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) provides its support to the Comprehensive Action Against Antipersonnel Mines (AICMA OAS) program in Colombia.
In this sense, the GMI has participated, in the period between May 23 and 28, in the evaluation of new operators, for the management, identification and destruction of explosive devices (EOD).
The evaluations allowed the accreditation of 25 soldiers from the Brigade of Humanitarian Demining Engineers (BRDEH) No. 1 of the Colombian National Army and 07 soldiers from the Demining and Amphibious Engineers Battalion (BDIAN) of the Colombian National Navy.
