On September 20, the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) received a visit from the Colombian War College, on a study trip to Washington, DC.
Led by Brigadier General Jaime Alonso Galindo, director of the Colombian War College, the delegation was received at the Casa del Soldado by the President of the Council of Delegates of the IADB, Brigadier General Marco Antonio Álvarez Reyes (Mexico), accompanied by Major General Alfonso Lozano Ariza (Colombia), Head of the Military Mission to the Permanent Mission of Colombia to the OAS.

During the visit, the students had the opportunity to learn more about the organization and the main activities currently carried out within the framework of the Inter-American Defense Board in favor of promoting hemispheric confidence and security, through a conference on the topic "The role of the IADB in the context of the Inter-American System," given by Captain of the Navy of Brazil Luciano Moraes De Oliveira, Deputy Director of the IADB's Advisory Services Secretariat.

The Higher School of War is an Institution of Higher Education, of the General Command of the Military Forces, specialized in issues of National Security and Defense with graduate programs, unique at national and international level, open to professionals from different disciplines, interested in training as Masters in: National Security and Defense, Human Rights and International Law of Armed Conflicts, Strategy and Geopolitics and Cybersecurity and Cyberdefense and Doctors in Strategic Studies, Security and Defense. Likewise, it fulfills the mission of training senior officers of the Colombian Military Forces who complete courses in Advanced Military Studies, General Staff and Military training.
