The IADB held a Seminar on Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law for the Armed Forces of the Western Hemisphere

The Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), in coordination with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), held the Seminar on Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law on March 24, 2021 to the Armed Forces of the Western Hemisphere.

The objective of the seminar was to promote and reinforce respect for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law in the Armed Forces, contributing to the operational units and Thinking Centers of the member countries having access to the lessons learned in the field of Human Rights. and International Humanitarian Law.

The event was attended by the United States Southern Commander (USSOUTHCOM), the Fleet Admiral Craig S. Faller, representatives of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Armed Forces of the member countries of the IADB, the ICRC, the IACHR and another 12,200 people from different countries in the Americas.
