On May 16, 2024, the leadership of the Inter-American Defense Board participated in the Regular Meeting of the Organization of American States (OAS), which took place in the Libertador Simón Bolívar room of the OAS Main Building, in the that the Annual Report of the Inter-American Defense Board was presented, in compliance with article 91.f of the OAS Charter, setting out the main activities carried out to fulfill the OAS-IADB mandates 2023-2024.
The presentation covered relevant aspects, such as joint collaboration activities between the IADB and the OAS; a proposal for the implementation of a permanent joint collaboration mechanism; Disaster Relief Mechanism; Humanitarian Demining activities; Seminars, Conferences and Training; results of the management of the Inter-American Defense College (CID), among others.
Representing the IADB at the event were General Marco Antonio Álvarez Reyes, President of the Council of Delegates; Major-Brigadeiro do Ar Flavio Luiz de Oliveira Pinto, General Director of the Secretariat; and General Richard Heitkamp, Director of the CID.
