On May 21, the Inter-American Defense Board received a visit from a team from Telemundo, a US media network specialized in the production and distribution of original content for the Latin American public, consisting of soap operas, sports, reality shows, news and movies, with original audio or dubbed into Spanish.
During the meeting, the IADB presented its annual work program to the invited journalists, based on some of the main thematic areas of interest to its 28 member states, covering topics such as Humanitarian Demining; Environmental Protection; Disaster Cooperation; Cyber defense; New technologies; Maritime, Air and Land Security; and Women, Peace and Security, among others.
Institution created in 1942 and part of the structure of the Organization of American States (OAS), the IADB aims to contribute to the Promotion and Strengthening of Confidence and Security in the American Hemisphere, through the provision of advisory services and education, in order to contribute to compliance with the OAS Charter in its four pillars: Democracy, Human Rights, Security and Development.
