On May 16, the leadership of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) held a working meeting with the President of the Hemispheric Security Commission (CSH) at the facilities of the Main Building of the Organization of American States (OAS), in order to improve integration and cooperation between institutions, as well as to address issues of common interest, such as the implementation of the OAS-IADB 2024 mandates, the proposal to implement a joint collaboration mechanism and the promotion of rapprochement with the delegations of the OAS.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Giovanni Snidle, President of the OAS Commission on Hemispheric Security (CSH); Mr. José Gabriel Salazar Guerrero, Secretary of the CSH; General Marco Antonio Álvarez Reyes, President of the Council of Delegates of the IADB; Major-Brigadeiro do Ar Flavio Luiz de Oliveira Pinto, General Director of the IADB Secretariat; and General Richard Heitkamp, Director of the Inter-American Defense College.
