The Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) strengthens strategic ties with the Center for Higher Naval Studies (CESNAV) of the Mexican Navy.

As part of their academic training program, a delegation of 24 students from the Master's programs in National Security and Geopolitics at CESNAV visited Kennedy Hall at Fort Lesley J. McNair to participate in a day of academic and strategic exchange with the IADB.

During the meeting, the Director General of the IADB Secretariat, Major General Reinaldo Salgado Beato, presented a comprehensive view of the Board's role as an advisory body to the OAS, addressing its historical evolution, organizational structure and main initiatives of the current cycle.

The importance of coordinated work in the face of emerging threats was also highlighted, with special emphasis on the Disaster Cooperation Mechanism (MECODE), the strategic projects under development and the training program planned for 2026.

This exchange reaffirms the commitment of the IADB and CESNAV to strategic education, hemispheric cooperation, and strengthening mutual trust among the continent's defense institutions.
