On May 24 and 25, 2023, the IADB will hold its II Maritime Security Workshop. The objective of the event is to expand Hemispheric Maritime Situational Awareness on illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing and its impacts. Likewise, the identification and understanding of the actions of the various actors, provided by the event, emerges as a mechanism to establish strategies that allow determining the best use of military resources to face this challenge. These strategies are of utmost importance. , not only for the Navies and Coast Guards of our Hemisphere, but also for the public and private sectors, academics and all those with an interest in the subject.
