On June 17, 2025, in the "Delegates' Hall" of the Soldier's House, the ceremony of assumption of the Presidency of the Council of Delegates was carried out, assumed by Major General César Macedo García to Division General Marco Antonio Alvarez Reyes, as well as the new Director General of the Secretariat of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB), Division General Reinaldo Salgado Beato, to Major Brigadier General Flavio Luiz Oliveira Pinto, and the continuity in the position of Director of the Inter-American Defense College (IDC), Major General Richard Heitkcamp, in a solemn act presided over by distinguished authorities.
This institutional change represents the firm determination of the member states to continue advancing in the fulfillment of the common objectives of the IADB, based on the highest military values: honor, discipline, vocation of service and commitment to hemispheric cooperation.
The ceremony symbolizes the renewal of the institutional commitment, reaffirming that, beyond changes in command, the mission of the Inter-American Defense Board remains unchanged, guided by the purpose of strengthening security, mutual trust and integration among the member states.
