On October 21, 2025, the Second Electoral Process of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) was carried out, within the framework of the 1479th Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Delegates, held in the Simón Bolívar Hall of the House of the Americas of the Organization of American States (OAS).
During this session, the candidacy of Major General FAP César Macedo García was presented for the position of President of the Board of Delegates of the IADB, corresponding to the period July 2026 – June 2027. Likewise, Colonel of the United States Army Daniel R. Fitch was proposed for the position of Director of the Assistant Secretariat for Advisory Services of the IADB, for the period July 2026 – June 2028.

Both candidacies were approved by acclamation, and were recorded in the Minutes of the Ordinary Meeting No. 1479 of the Council of Delegates, held on October 21, 2025.
