On February 25, the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB) held the seminar “Women, Peace and Security 2026: Women in the Construction of Collaborative Solutions in the Framework of Security and Defense.”
The Seminar was inaugurated by Ambassador Laura Gil, Assistant Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Leadership of the Inter-American Defense Board (IADB).
This important academic forum explored the role of women in the Security and Defense Forces, as well as their participation in the development of war and peace operations, highlighting their contribution to building safer and more sustainable environments.
