JID promotes Seminar on Prevention, Response to Disasters and Aerospace Employment
He November 6th and 7th, 2024, the Inter-American Defense Board, based in Washington, DC, will hold the Seminar on Prevention, Response to Disasters and Aerospace Employment, with Virtual broadcast in three languages – Spanish, English and Portuguese.
The seminar is aimed at military personnel and civilians from emergency response agencies, academic centers and decision-makers. Participants will learn about experiences, lessons learned and good practices from both the Armed Forces and Public Security, which have used their capabilities in humanitarian aid operations.
Furthermore, through this interaction, relevant information will be shared that will strengthen common understanding and provide a standardized reference for disaster mitigation. It will also allow the public to understand current challenges and foster commitment to efficiently integrate our capabilities for the execution of operations in a joint, combined and inter-agency environment.
